Recently, we've been meeting a lot of people who live absolutely alone in the mountains of Tahiti, who spend their whole day waiting for their kids to come home. Some of these people are members of the Church, and feel blocked out of the Church of Jesus Christ simply because they haven't felt His love recently. So, that's a little soapbox for today. I heard it a lot in conference, but: love those around you. If it's too hard to think about it, don't think about ministering. Just think about gaining another friend!
Conference was amazing - I got to watch in English because our zone is lucky. We're so excited to continue studying the talks, especially because we're going to have a visitor in May by one of the apostles. We can't wait!
I tried fafaru (the fermented fish that sits in a bucket of ocean water for days) and I didn't really like it, but I tried it, so voila, I won't be forced to eat it again anytime soon. Tahitians have really strange eating habits.
Really not tons of updates this week. The work is moving, little by little. We're working once again to try and get our amies to read and create a relationship with the Book of Mormon. It's not easy, but we can do it!
Beacoup d'amour,
Soeur Sperry
