Week 31 - A Week of Service

Just a random picture of Tahiti. So green, so beautiful.

It's officially been seven months! The time is flying - it's kind of scary. But, we're treasuring every moment out here.

Finally, we had a normal week. My companion has actually been having some serious problems with her knees, and so it's difficult for her to be walking and biking all the time. This just means we've gotten super creative with work.

This week, we did a week of service for our secteur! We took out specific time in each day this week to serve, whether it was for our amies, our members, the other missionaries, or just for the community. So in the midst of all our lessons, we made cookies, ran around from house to house singing hymns to people, made Thank You cards, picked up trash from the sides of the roads, etc, etc, etc. Truthfully, we loved it! And, we set a few more lessons in the midst of all that.

Truly, we love helping others. We're being examples of Christ in EVERY way we can :) It's been amazing. I think our favorite was actually picking up trash - surprisingly rewarding! Everything was just so clean afterwards!

Some picture updates from the conferences and various events recently:

This is me and all of my companions I've had in the secteur of Vaiari! from left to right, there's Soeur Guthrie, my first companion here, and then Soeur Jensen, the second, and Soeur Anderson, my current companion. They're great! It was super fun to talk to all of them and catch up.

For the Arkansas homies, these are all your local missionaries! Elder Bennet, Soeur Guthrie, and I are all from Northwest Arkansas. Loud and proud.

And... this is me and my companion at the prophet's coming. Goodness, I can't even begin to explain how happy we were to be there. I love her! Soeur Anderson is so amazing, and so strong. What a queen.

Just those updates! Tons of love,
Soeur Sperry
