Week 50 - From Tipaerui to Puurai

Lots of updates, but I'm going quick! Bear with me everyone, sorry if my english isn't quite perfect here.

Last week, I had a baptism! Kimberley was able to be baptized and it was such a wonderful experience for everyone involved. She was so ready, and so happy. In her testimony, she thanked everyone who had helped her along the way, including the "missionaries who taught me with so much love" and my heart practically burst. Kimberley is officially a member! Hip hip hooray!

I got transferred to a new secteur - Puurai! It's not far at all from my old secteur - I'm actually living in the same house, and I just moved bedrooms to sleep in the same room as my companion. What this DOES mean is that I'm now an STL (Sister Training Leader) and I'm loving it. I just get to help the Sisters around us, and since they're all awesome, it's just a party everyday.

We had a faatamaaraa (meal) with the Bishop of my new ward, and he brought out sashimi, poisson cru (both plates of raw fish) and said, "the quality of the food you eat is the quality of the blessings I receive. Eat well, Sisters. Bon appetit." And the joke the whole night was how much he could ask us to eat.

I'm coming up on one year this week! Very exciting! Happy Halloween and celebrate hard for me!

And, out here when a baptism happens, all the missionaries like to come to support each other, and so we had tons of missionaries at this baptism this week. And Tahitians love it when we sing for them, so we had a giant impromptu missionary choir at this baptism where about twenty elders and sisters sang as loud as possible to a piano. It was amazing, and they loved it.

Happy Halloween! Tons of love from across the Pacific!
